Artist Statement

Nature always plays a large role in the subject of my art.  Fascinated by trees and organic shapes, I want to express the wonder, excitement and beauty that I find in nature.   I like to show viewers a secret path, magical tunnel or bridge to an unknown but inviting place.  I paint in oil and also enjoy making monotypes.

Josie (Beth) Vosoba is an oil painter and monotype printer interested in the landscape and botanical themes, many inspired by her frequent visits to Rock Creek Park in D.C. and her annual trips to Provence France. Click on images below to see destinations from Marseille to Utah.
